Community Power Agency knows that you care how information about you is used and shared.

This Privacy Policy explains what information of yours will be collected by Community Power Agency when you use our online services, how the information will be used, and how you can control the collection, correction and/or deletion of information.
We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy does not apply to information we collect by other means (including offline) or from other sources of information.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Community Power Agency (CPA) is an inclusive movement of community energy advocates and supporters, calling for a faster and fairer transition to clean energy.
We collect information about people so as to allow us to communicate with them, introduce them to our organisation, inform them of the work we do and encourage donations so we can continue to embark on our projects.
We do not use the information in any way other than in the furtherance of our connection with you, fundraising or other support for our organisation.
We generally collect the information we need to deliver and improve the services we provide. In the future, this may include processing donations, providing receipts, maintaining accurate details of our donors’ history and sending you information about our work.
We might also use your information for the following purposes:
– for the immediate reason for which you have provided it to us (for example, to enable us to process your request, payment, registration, subscription, etc.)
– to maintain contact with you about our work,
– to report to you about our work,
– to encourage you to learn about what we do, or

We collect information from you directly. We collect personal information about supporters, volunteers, employees, contractors and visitors to our events. We collect your information in the following ways:

Following termination or deactivation of your Community Power Agency Co-operative account, Community Power Agency Co-operative may retain your profile information and user content for a reasonable time for archival purposes.
Furthermore, Community Power Agency Co-operative may retain and continue to use indefinitely all information (including user content) contained in your communications to other users or posted to public or semi-public areas of www.cpagency.org.au after termination or deactivation of your account.
Community Power Agency Co-operative reserves the right, but has no obligation, to monitor the user content you post on www.cpagency.org.au.
We reserve the right to remove any such information or material for any reason or no reason, including without limitation if in our sole opinion such information or material violates, or may violate, any applicable law or to protect or defend our rights or property or those of any third party.
