We’re excited to announce the launch of our newly redeveloped Socially Responsible Renewable Energy Development (SRRED) course, now available as a self-paced online learning experience!
Since 2021, our SRRED course has helped over 120 participants, including developers, policymakers and community leaders, gain the skills they need to ensure renewable energy projects create real, lasting benefits for communities. As the shift to renewable energy accelerates, we know that community engagement and benefit sharing are essential to achieving projects that are good for people and the planet.
However, our previous SRRED delivery format was constrained. Demand for the course often exceeded the available class sizes, meaning many who wanted to participate couldn’t. To make sure we can reach even more people and have a bigger impact, we’ve redeveloped the course into a flexible, self-paced format.
What’s New?
This new version of SRRED gives participants the flexibility to learn at their own pace, making it easier for busy professionals to fit the course into their schedules. Alongside the core content, learners will also have access to the SRRED Exchange, a dedicated community of practice for alumni to continue the conversation, share knowledge and stay up-to-date with best practices.
Whether you’re an renewable energy developer, policymaker, or community leader, SRRED offers a unique opportunity to reflect on and improve your approach and knowledge around community engagement and benefit sharing in large-scale renewable energy projects.
