Renee joins us from Barunggam Country in Queensland and brings a deep commitment to community development, rooted in her unique upbringing in the remote jungles of Papua New Guinea. Her passion for supporting remote and regional communities shapes everything she does.
With extensive experience working in local government across regional Australia, Renee has a grounded understanding of how Councils connect with youth groups, community organisations, large-scale projects, and policy initiatives. She has led a place-based collective impact project in a region undergoing significant change due to renewable energy development.
This experience has fuelled her interest in how communities, often facing challenges in having their voices heard, are supported to thrive in the transition to renewable energy. Renee’s work is driven by a belief in empowering communities to organise and mobilise around the future they want to create.
