Communications Coordinator

Dr Juliette Milbank

Juliette joins us from northeastern Victoria and is a researcher, writer and engineer with experience in public, private and volunteer community organisations. Starting as a mechanical engineer and gaining postgraduate qualifications, she later pivoted to communicating the complex and technical topics of a fast-changing world in an easy-to-understand way.

She has spent the last decade and a half working with and advocating for community groups, including Totally Renewable Yackandandah, working in community engagement as a volunteer, and in a paid capacity for her local MP, along with regional project management. She’s written published articles on renewables and sustainability and co-organised the 2024 Community Energy Congress in Eora | Sydney.

Juliette is passionate about telling the stories that explain the world around us, of making the benefits of technology for a more sustainable world accessible to everyone, to improve lives and look after the environment we are intrinsically a part of.
