Community Power Agency  is looking for a new bookkeeper to join our team.

The Community Power Agency is a small not-for-profit organisation with the mission to help grow a vibrant community renewable energy sector in Australia.

To achieve these goals, the Community Power Agency engages in three main areas of work:

  1. Supporting and building the capacity of community projects on the ground
  2. Engaging in sector level advocacy, collaboration and development
  3. Developing resources and doing research

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Recording transactions in XERO
  • Accounts Receivable, including chasing customer payments and invoicing
  • Accounts payable, ensuring timely payments and processing of supplier invoices
  • Bank and credit card reconciliations
  • BAS preparation and lodgement
  • Payroll processing for staff and superannuation preparation

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ bookkeeping experience
  • Experience and proficient in XERO & Excel
  • Bookkeeping qualification (minimum Cert IV)
  • Self sufficiency, with an eye for detail

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Your hours are flexible, an average of 2 hours per week (maximum 10 hours per month).

Ideally you will provide a tax invoice for your services using your own ABN.
